The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Senior (Mental Health - Adult Eating Disorder Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver high level clinical services in accordance with professional code of ethics
- Provide efficient, responsive and recovery oriented mental health care in a variety of hospital and community settings
- Provide intensive mental health interventions and ongoing assessments for consumers who require high intensity services
- Work Collaboratively with clinicians, multidisciplinary staff, service providers, non-government organisations
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Psychology
- AHPRA Registration
- A post graduate qualifications from a relevant accredited psychology training programme would be well regarded
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary part time (32 hrs p.f, 12 months)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The Adult Eating Disorder Program provides consultation and liaison, care coordination and undertakes assessment and specialist targeted interventions for consumers, and their families, with eating disorders or experiencing the onset of an eating disorder and associated mental health needs. This service provides a recovery-oriented approach that is person-centred, strengths based, collaborative and empowering.
