The Role 

We have an exciting permanent full-time Manager, Marketing PR and Events position available to join our Marketing, PR and Events team at TAFE Queensland’s South Brisbane Campus.

As a Manager, Marketing PR and Events, you will: 

  • Provide leadership and management of the Marketing, PR and Events team. 
  • Deliver against strategic and operational objectives through contemporary marketing, and events activities.  

This position reports to the Executive Director, Business Innovation and Commercialisation

Salary

The salary range for a Manager, Marketing PR and Events is $144,946.86 - $153,198.90 (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.  
  • Maximise student and industry traffic to Brisbane regional products through targeted sales strategies and branding in the market place.
  • Implement and continuously improve the marketing activities at the region, campus and programme level. 
  • Forecast and analyse long and short term market potential.
  • Create marketing initiatives and build internal training and coaching systems.
  • Develop and monitor the region’s strategic and operational marketing and sales plans, responsible for delivering against key performance indicators in consultation with the TAFE Queensland Brisbane Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to provide high level strategic leadership in the identification of potential markets for commercial products and services, research and report on individual market segments and determine appropriate marketing strategies including advertising, website design and social media management optimisation, promotional activities, events/campaigns, sponsorship and publications.
  • Provide high level strategic marketing, communication, and issues management advice to the Senior Leadership Team.  
  • Develop, implement, evaluate and provide strategic advice on multi-sector and branding activities for the region and its strategic partners.
  • Provide strategic advice and direction on the development and management of internal communication ensuring liaison with relevant stakeholders including faculty management.
  • Lead and supervise the daily work of a multi-disciplinary team and the management of projects to ensure the achievement of objectives including the delivery of effective and efficient communication tools and customer service centre systems.  Manage systems, procedures and financial, human and physical resources for the team.
  • Continuously promote new ways of improving efficiency by reducing cost and enhancing outcomes.

  5. Work collaboratively with others to achieve successful and positive work outcomes, fostering confidence in others and promoting an environment of continuous improvement where ideas are shared and opinions and feedback are sought to enhance service delivery.
