QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
The highly collaborative Learning and Development team is passionate about delivering enhanced training and development opportunities to employees across our organisation. As we focus on the implementation of our comprehensive L&D strategy, we're looking for team members who are committed to driving a culture of continuous learning and to ensuring that our training directly correlates with our strategic goals. Our work is instrumental in equipping our workforce with the skills they need to excel in their roles, driving better outcomes for both the organisation and the communities we support.
About the role:
You'll be joining QBuild's rapidly expanding L&D team, growing from 6 to 12 over the next 3 months. This growth has been driven by an organisational need to create immersive and user-friendly learning experiences, empowering QBuild employees to acquire knowledge and skills in the most engaging and impactful way possible.
You'll be:
- designing a variety of engaging learning resources in multiple formats,
- collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure material accuracy and relevance,
- utilising innovative tools and technologies to create interactive eLearning and digital content, and
- working closely with QBuild regions to advise and support the rollout of learning initiatives.
About you:
You're a detail-oriented learning designer who loves making information accessible and impactful. You thrive in environments where you can collaboratively build from the ground up and shape the learning experience in a way that genuinely helps people succeed.
You'll bring a demonstrated proficiency in instructional design, delivery, evaluation and both traditional and digital resource development. Expertise in eLearning authoring tools, particularly Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) is required, and experience in other digital tools including Camtasia is highly desirable.
