About us:
The Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) is offering an exciting and innovative opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to work within the Community Specialist Palliative Care Service. This service encompasses Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mt Morgan, Gladstone and Banana (based in Gladstone) and the Central Highlands (role based in Emerald).
The service team comprises of a Staff Specialist Palliative Care, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse, Social Worker, and Administration Officer and operates collaboratively with the general practitioner (GP), non-government organisations and across CQHHS.
About the role:
- Demonstrate clinical leadership and expertise to support clinical outcomes and workforce development through the coordination and support of best practice education initiatives.
- Use high level negotiation, conflict management, advocacy and change management skills to achieve key performance indicators and optimal treatment outcomes.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, capacity building with collaborative working relationships and partnerships for the specialist palliative care services.
- Demonstrate advanced practice skills in conducting research, fostering capacity building and research skills acquisition.
About you:
- Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A relevant postgraduate Diploma or Masters' degree is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.
- A relevant postgraduate Diploma or Masters' degree is highly desirable for this position.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $86,427 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
