Operating from within Human Resources, you will lead a small team in providing expert, business focussed human resource management advice and project support on a wide range of complex human resource issues in order to enhance business outcomes and support the achievement of the National Fire Ant Eradication Program goals.
About the role
As our Principal HR Consultant, you will:
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, mentoring and support to Senior Consultants and HR Business Partners within the team in case management activities such as strategy and assessment.
• Undertake case management activities, including preliminary inquiries, investigations, the engagement of, and consultation with, external investigators and the preparation of correspondence in relation to cases.
• Act as a point of review and escalation for complex and contentious issues.
• Develop case management strategies with team members in relation to individual cases.
• Provide a range of contemporary HR services which may encompass, but is not limited to, senior HR business partnering services, complex case management, performance management, equity and diversity, employment entitlements, organisational change and restructuring, workforce planning, talent acquisition, role design, learning and capability development and advice on effective human resource practices.
• Provide authoritative advice, educate, coach, enable and support leaders and managers across NFAEP to effectively manage its workforce and drive business group compliance with governance policy, legislation, standards and statutory requirements.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support HR initiatives and meet desired outcomes. This includes driving collaboration by building strong and effective partnerships and networks which may involve representing NFAEP on Departmental committees or groups.
