About the role
Casual opportunity to assist in the provision of a high-quality nutrition and food service to patients of the facility by assisting in the preparation, plating, presentation, and delivery of meals/food services. To clean and maintain specified areas within the facility.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Responsible for the production and presentation of high quality and accurate food items for patients/residents/clients at each site.
- Ensure food preparation, production and distribution methods are all in accordance with current standards, recipes, procedures, guidelines, and work schedules.
- Responsible for the direct supervision and assistance of staff in the carrying out of operational duties especially in the production and distribution areas.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Food Services Site Coordinator, Site Coordinator Food Services, Nutrition Assistants, Quality Supervisors, Nursing staff and Dieticians.
