Leads and coordinates the development, implementation, evaluation and review of partnerships and service planning initiatives involving the department and key stakeholders, including government and non-government agencies, in line with the Youth Justice Strategy.

As Principal Community Services Officer, you will specifically:

  • Support the establishment and operation of high level, strategic multi-agency initiatives including Multi-agency Collaborative Panels.
  • Develop and lead a strong, integrated multi-agency service system in collaboration with non-government funded and unfunded provider/s, and relevant government agencies at a local level, and conduct planning activities, including service mapping and outcome monitoring and evaluation, to identify potential challenges and enhance service delivery.
  • Represent youth justice at regional consultation forums, committees or working groups as required.
  • Promote learning and information sharing in relation to services, networks and referral pathways within the community, through site mentoring, delivery of learning and development opportunities, and via the preparation of a range of high quality communication materials.
  • Provide leadership in the implementation of strategies that facilitate and sustain the formation of partnerships between the department and key stakeholders within the region and at a local level.
  • Enhance the local regional community by actively practicing and promoting excellence in service delivery and public administration and identifying opportunities for improving regional client service.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the effective engagement in the partnership of people, communities and organisations from Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
