Operating Theatres – Townsville University Hospital

Our 14-theatre complex supports a wide range of surgical procedures and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in patient care. The Operating Theatre Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining safety and efficiency across the unit.

Competitive salary and benefits:

About your opportunity:

Assist surgical teams with patient transfers, equipment handling, and cleaning duties. This role includes manual handling, shift work, and maintaining high standards of infection control. You'll be part of a collaborative team focused on patient outcomes.

Role Requirements:

  • Manual handling experience in healthcare is highly desirable.
  • Appointees must work all rostered shifts and meet vaccination requirements for VPDs.
  • Qualifications relevant to the role are well regarded.
