Role details
The Women's Health Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Midwife (Kem Kem Yanga Midwifery Group Practice) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Midwife provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing/midwifery care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing/midwifery staff within Kem Kem Yanga Midwifery Group Practice.
About the Team
The Kem Kem Yanga Midwifery Group Practice offers an all risk midwifery case load model of care. Providing a culturally appropriate maternity service for antenatal, intrapartum and post- natal care for indigenous pregnant women within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service. This care model strives towards shared responsibility between each woman and her midwife and recognises the importance of continuity of care for indigenous women as a priority.
