We're excited to welcome a Registered Paediatric Nurse to our Paediatric Hospital in the Home (CHIRP).
The CHIRP service is a four-bed virtual ward delivering paediatric Hospital in the Home. It is staffed 7 days a week 0730-1600 by experienced paediatric nursing staff, with clinical oversight and supervision held by the on-call paediatric medical team.
CHIRP is available to those living within the Sunshine Coast University Hospital catchment (Glasshouse Mountains in the south, to Pomona in the north). CHIRP delivers expert paediatric care within the young person's home as an alternative to an acute hospital admission or to shorten the length of a hospital admission. We also offer care for patients requiring complex discharge support and bridging services to assist with managing complex needs at the time of discharge, or while waiting for community supports. The CHIRP service also can support families to assist with hospital avoidance and post-acute care support.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.

Remuneration value up to $121 106 p.a. f/t, comprising salary rates $41.73 - $53.53 p.h. p/t, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Multiple Part-Time positions, Flexible Hours p.f.).
