Your opportunity is to manage the operational delivery of clinical services for this multi-disciplinary clinical team within Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) within Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. You will also apply well-developed clinical knowledge and skills to contribute to the strategic direction of this team and provide authoritative advice to stakeholders.
The Nurse Manager/ Program Manager provides leadership and direction in partnership with the Consultant Psychiatrist to clinicians within a multidisciplinary team framework and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of safe, quality and cost effective mental health care and discipline specific care, consistent with contemporary standards, policies and best practice within the mental health service setting.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Work collaboratively with the MHSS Directors, Professional Leads and other multidisciplinary MHSS teams to implement clinical governance requirements that align with the MHSS Governance Framework.
- Provide leadership and direction for workforce planning and capability strategies for a multi-disciplinary team to achieve alignment, enhancement, and efficiency in the delivery of quality patient care and service. Review / development of role descriptions, leave cover arrangements, recruitment and planning to meet service requirements.
- Lead, develop and be accountable for access and flow in a 24 hour, 7 day a week response from a whole of organisation perspective.
- Lead, develop and collaborate in a MHSS Workforce Engagement strategy.
Remuneration value up to $172 615 p.a., comprising salary between $144 991 - $151 289 p.a. (HP5), OR Remuneration value up to $164 212 p.a., comprising salary between $132 562 - $143 924 p.a. (NGR7), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5 OR NGR7). Applications will remain current for 12 months.
