The primary purpose of this role is to:
- Deliver advanced complex regulatory and non-regulatory environmental health services across the health service district to protect and promote human health, and to prevent risks to the community from environmental health hazards.
- Provide expert environmental health advice, applying independent professional judgement to support colleagues and engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Utilise advanced clinical expertise, in-depth knowledge, and high-level problem-solving skills to lead the research, design, and delivery of complex environmental health services across multiple areas and the health service district, identifying evidence-based solutions and recommending strategic interventions and enforcement actions.
- Apply advanced evidentiary skills and extensive experience to independently lead complex investigations under relevant public health legislation, operating with a high degree of autonomy and minimal clinical supervision.
- Use high level evidence and judgement in the application and interpretation of results of risk assessments to contribute to risk management and communication.
Remuneration value up to $14,384 p.m., comprising salary between $5,557.50 - $5,798.90 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Fixed Term Temporary full time position available until 14/11/2025).
