Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility is a Queensland Health managed aged care service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and is located within Kirwan Health Campus. The facility provides residential care for older persons who require specialised nursing care due to fragility and complex care needs.

  • Salary range: $66.85 - $72.58 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity

This leadership role supports high-quality, best-practice care at Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility through strategic nursing oversight, education, and research. The position is responsible for managing quality and accreditation systems—including Aged Care Accreditation Standards, AN-ACC, and relevant legislation—and integrating a robust quality improvement framework. Strong knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and the ability to apply aged care standards and guidelines are essential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification and registration with AHPRA.
  • Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call roster.

Highly Desirable:

A relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field, such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
