Your new role:
As a Senior Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial leadership role within our dental teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality general and specialist oral health care to our diverse patient community. This role combines clinical expertise with operational management and staff leadership to support the ongoing development and success of dental services across our facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert dental assisting services in collaboration with dental specialists, dentists, oral health therapists, and dental therapists, with a focus on patient safety and infection control.
- Leading and managing dental assistant staff, including planning, organizing, and monitoring their work to maintain service quality, staffing levels, and budget compliance.
- Mentoring and developing dental assistants through recruitment, training, and performance support, while collaborating with senior staff to drive service quality and compliance.
About you:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Dental Assistant who demonstrates outstanding technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
You will possess:
- Proven expertise in all facets of dental assisting, with a strong knowledge of infection control and workplace health and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of handling confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
- A commitment to upholding policies relating to equal opportunity, anti-discrimination, and quality service standards within a diverse healthcare setting.
- A current Dental Assisting Certificate and proof of relevant qualifications and registrations.
