Based in Rockhampton, this temporary AO7 Principal Regional Collaboration Officer role is your chance to make a real impact across regional Queensland. You'll work closely with Queensland Government agencies to strengthen collaboration, support regional leadership, and deliver cross-agency initiatives that respond to local priorities.

Are you passionate about regional Queensland and ready to help drive collaboration that leads to real outcomes? We're looking for a Principal Regional Collaboration Officer to join the Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development division in Rockhampton. 
 
This role places you at the heart of Queensland's regional development efforts. A  typical day might see you on the phone with a senior regional officer to unpack a  local challenge, then in a meeting with cross-agency stakeholders developing a shared response to an emerging regional priority. You could be drafting a briefing for an upcoming Cabinet submission, guiding a regional workplan aligned to government goals, or reviewing regional intelligence to shape strategic decision making. 
 
You'll build and maintain strong relationships with Regional Networks, providing expert support to strengthen regional leadership and drive meaningful collaboration. 
You'll help turn innovative, place-based ideas into real-world initiatives by guiding interagency teams through complex project landscapes. With a strong focus on strategy and governance, you'll ensure that cross-agency efforts stay aligned, well coordinated and outcomes-focused. Whether it's writing high-quality advice, shaping governance frameworks, or simply being the go-to person for smart, local insights this role is all about helping Queensland's regions thrive.
