Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Lead and coordinate the deployment of inspection resources across all construction and maintenance projects delivered by the Regional Delivery team.
• Provide on-site oversight and ensure that quality, measurement, and compliance standards are met during delivery activities.
• Act as the primary liaison between field inspectors and project leadership, providing timely updates and practical advice to inform decision-making.
• Mentor and support inspection staff, drawing on practical experience to build technical capability and consistency in surveillance practices.
• Apply and promote best practice inspection techniques, including accurate measurement, defect identification, and documentation in accordance with TMR procedures.
• Support the Regional Manager (Delivery) in implementing operational changes that align with business needs and evolving delivery approaches.
• Develop and maintain field-level tools such as standard forms, checklists, and procedures to support consistent and effective inspection outcomes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of TMR's surveillance function through input into guidelines, policies, and process refinements.
• Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with contractors, engineers, project managers, and other internal stakeholders to support safe and successful project outcomes.
• Represent the inspection function in internal working groups, forums, and technical committees, contributing field-based insights to department-wide initiatives.
• Participate in and support the Roadworks Inspector Occupation Group to further develop role clarity, standards, and career pathways for inspection personnel.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• This role requires a C class drivers licence and a general construction induction training card (white card).
