Executive Services Officer

The Executive Services Officer is responsible for the provision of high quality, professional executive level support to the Office of the Medical Director (OMD) with a primary responsibility in supporting the Professional Standards Unit. The role coordinates a wide range of correspondence and reporting and provides a high level of support in the delivery of administrative services to the Office of the Medical Director portfolio.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated understanding, or the ability to rapidly acquire a thorough understanding of the structure, roles, functions and services of the QAS and the Department of Health.
- Proven capability and experience in providing high quality executive support through well-developed organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously under pressure, meet deadlines and achieve objectives in an environment of competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in the coordination and preparation of accurate, high quality correspondence and the proven ability to implement effective governance processes that adhere to organisational policies and system requirements.
- Well-developed relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with influence across a broad range of clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level written communication skills with the ability to prepare or edit complex reports and submissions in accordance with departmental style guide requirements.
- Well-developed research and evaluation skills with the capacity to develop a range of options and strategies applicable to organisational situations, to ensure continuous quality improvement.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
