An exciting opportunity exists within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet for a highly motivated Finance Officer.
As Finance Officer, Ministerial Services you will provide timely and efficient financial and administrative support to Ministerial Offices and to the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.
You will engage customer areas and suppliers to deliver a high-quality processing and transactional services, trouble shoot and resolve issues and disputes in relation to financial and accounting matters and work collaboratively with team members and clients to deliver a high-quality financial service.

About us:
At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, our primary responsibility is to provide support and guidance to the Premier and Cabinet to effectively deliver on the Government's priorities, commitments, decisions, and objectives for the betterment of the community. The Ministerial Services team is a part of Corporate Services Division. We provide support to Ministerial Offices and the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, prioritising excellence in service provision and high performance.
The Finance Officer, Ministerial Services reports to the Financial Accountant, Ministerial Services.
About you:
The Finance Officer, Ministerial Services is required to be outcome and customer focused, possess excellent problem-solving skills and be a strong and effective communicator.
The Essential Requirements for this role are:
• Demonstrated experience working in a high volume and time critical accounting environment with an ability to meet conflicting deadlines.
• High level skills in Microsoft Excel, Adobe and in computerised financial management systems (SAP) and processes.
• Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
