About the role

This position works in the Flow Improvement Services Medicine (FISM) team to support the existing General Medicine teams at Ipswich Hospital. FISM is a new multidisciplinary service that provides comprehensive, quality, patient-centred care to ensure efficient patient flow throughout a patient's admission to hospital and facilitating a timely, well-coordinated and safe discharge. 

The purpose of this role is to deliver advanced Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy clinical services and leadership within FISM across the multidisciplinary team within the Division of Medicine. The role is the reference point for others across West Moreton Health.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Contemporary specialist-level knowledge and skills in acute inpatient services within one or more areas of clinical practise in the relevant discipline.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment and senior management to influence a clinical or service outcome. This includes communicating effectively and working collaboratively with other Allied Health leaders, Professional Leads and operational managers across disciplines and service groups to support West Moreton Health in achieving its aims and objectives.
  • Ability to independently manage highly complex clinical caseloads.
  • Ability to lead quality and service improvement activities that result in improved outcomes for patients/customers and/or the organisation.
