About the Role
As the Head of Department, you will play a key role in aligning system priorities with the school's strategic direction, demonstrating strong knowledge and understanding of the English and Humanities curriculums and their effective delivery. You will build the capacity of staff through the use of data-informed, high-yield pedagogies, while also supporting the wellbeing and professional growth of your team members. In addition, you will contribute to the broader strategic leadership of Holland Park SHS, working collaboratively to drive continuous improvement across the school.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department - English/Humanities, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding system priorities and how they apply to the school's strategic direction
- Having a strong knowledge and understanding of the English and Humanities curriculums and their effective delivery
- Being able to build the capacity of staff to engage with data informed, high yield pedagogies.
- Supporting the wellbeing and professional growth of team member
- Contributing to the broader strategic leadership of Holland Park SHS
