Your new role: 
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Records Administrative Officer to provide high-quality administrative and systems support in the management of confidential patient medical records. In this role, you will contribute to smooth patient flow and ensure critical information is available to clinical teams when needed.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Creating, retrieving, tracking, and maintaining electronic and physical patient medical records.
•    Supporting clinical units with medical record requirements and assisting staff with electronic record systems.
•    Administering release of information in line with legislation, policy, and privacy requirements.
•    Performing general administrative duties to ensure the efficient daily operation of the medical records department.


About you: 
We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and committed to patient safety and quality care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient information.
•    Proficiency with computerised information systems (Microsoft Word, Excel) and office equipment.
•    Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire, medical terminology to interpret patient information.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide outstanding service to internal and external clients.
•    The ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively, balancing urgent and routine tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
