About the role
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, RBWH and other nursing and midwifery executive members to demonstrate accountability for clinical governance, safety, quality, risk mitigation, and initiatives. Apply professional knowledge and frameworks for nursing and midwifery within the service to promotes efficiency and effectiveness, supporting innovation and continuous improvement, which results in sustainable best practice consumer/person focused care
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 12 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
- Lead a professional capable nursing/midwifery workforce committed to consumer outcomes in the application of evidence-based models of care and professional practice standards to achieve current and projected service demands throughout the Internal Medicine and Emergency Services.
- Accountable for strategic leadership, coordination, collaboration with internal and external partners and evaluation of Internal Medicine Service business to facilitate optimal service delivery within available budget and agreed targets.
- Display leadership integrity that promotes engagement and a positive workplace culture that supports implementation of strategic imperatives, and sustainable change management in a dynamic health care environment.
