About the Role:
This is an opportunity to work collaboratively within a small team to support implementation of key strategies and iniatitives across the School Improvement Branch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of project plans and phases, including the coordination of various activities and teams associated with achieving the project objective;
- Supporting the administration and organisation of program and project activities, through preparing communications, correspondence, presentations, speeches, and website content;
- Conducting research and analysis to support program and project monitoring activities and the understanding of complex matters;
- Provide secretariat support for committees and senior executive meetings, including preparing agendas, meeting papers, taking minutes, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-up on decisions and outcomes;
- Coordinate the flow of briefs, correspondence, reports and other material throughout the department to ensure the efficient and timely preparation of departmental briefs and correspondence responses;
- Ensuring all corporate processes are followed, and legal and financial requirements are met; and
- Undertaking other duties as required to support the success of the team and its initiatives.
About You:
- Strong communication skills to provide high-level advice on complex and sensitive matters, and to contribute to the preparation of briefing materials and presentations for senior leadership.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality outcomes.
- A "can-do" attitude, with the ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, solve problems, and respond to evolving needs.
- High level research, data analysis and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare a range of accurate briefing materials to support senior departmental officers or external stakeholders, as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the department and with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in providing financial support for projects, including monitoring budgets, tracking expenditure, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
