This role calls for a proven leader with significant experience in navigating complex environments, fostering high-performing cultures and delivering client-centric, innovative outcomes. As a Director, you will lead one of the following divisions:
Duties & Grants
• Lead and support several direct reports (and their respective teams) to perform different functions within the division, including:
- Assessment of duty and grant matters
- Audits and investigations to ensure taxpayer compliance
- Stakeholder management and engagement
Revenue Contact Centre & Collections
• Lead and support several direct reports (and their respective teams) to perform different functions within the division, including:
- Lead collection activities for royalty, payroll, land tax and transfer duty debt
- Lead complex debt recovery matters including insolvency
- Lead client services through inbound phone, email and QRO online enquiries at the Revenue Contact Centre located at Maroochydore
Governance and Business Support
• Lead and support several direct reports (and their respective teams) to perform different functions within the division, including:
- Corporate and revenue compliance planning and reporting
- Internal and external audit management
- Advise on enterprise risk management
- Project Management Office to provide project governance
- Lead the Business Support Team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of corporate support functions including records management, mail services and facilities support
To be successful in this role, you will need a high level of interpersonal skills and significant experience in:
• Leading people and teams
• Statutory interpretation
• Client focused and compliance environments
You will have significant leadership opportunities including responsibility for your division and a collaborative leadership role across QRO to foster a constructive culture. You will work cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Within QRO, you will have the opportunity to further strengthen and mobilise the talents and capabilities of staff. Working within a strong governance framework you may have certain delegations under the various Acts administered by QRO.
