About the Role  

As the Deputy Principal, you will lead school initiatives and, in partnership with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team, drive the school's strategic agenda, with a strong focus on curriculum, pedagogy, and fostering a culture of learning. Based in the secondary phase, you will work specifically with the Year 10 cohort, demonstrating a commitment to improving teaching and learning, enhancing educational outcomes, and nurturing positive relationships among students, teachers, the community, and other stakeholders. You will also be responsible for leading capability development and implementing quality assurance practices to ensure a school-wide approach to achieving the strategic goals of the College. This will involve working collegially with the Deputy Principal team and leading Heads of Department to develop and align the faculty's contributions to the college-wide strategic improvement agenda. 

Your Responsibilities 

As the Deputy Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
