We are looking for dynamic and experienced Team Leader to direct and manage a high-performing ICT Sourcing team for our business unit, Information and Technology Partners (ITP). The position of ICT Sourcing Team Leader will play a pivotal role in ensuring procurement service delivery aligns with agreed service levels, business objectives, and government policies.
ITP is hosted by the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and delivers information technology and information management services to 7 government agencies. Our purpose is to provide effective and innovative services as a trusted, strategic partner distributing smart, secure and seamless solutions. The opportunity:
As our Team Leader you will lead a team in delivering procurement services and category management for ITP's stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to establish procurement strategies and offer expert advice maintaining a high-level knowledge of whole of government and departmental policies, procedures and standards relevant to the ICT Sourcing function. Your ability to lead effectively and build strong stakeholder relationships will contribute to our vision to be the digital partner of choice in the Queensland Public Sector.
You will also be responsible to:
- Oversee and contribute to the analysis and procurement planning, category management, tender development, release and closure, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, contract drafting and development of contract management plans and mediation.
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop service provisions to meet the needs of stakeholders and develop appropriate resourcing levels and accompanying training needs required to meet demand.
- Conduct and coordinate the sourcing and contract process for ITP's hardware and software services, including the development and maintenance of Standing Offer Arrangements.
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies to enhance service delivery, while leading or contributing to projects and initiatives that support ITP in achieving its responsibilities.
- Foster and role-model a work environment that values performance, improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing while promoting a positive workplace culture that upholds ethical practices, workplace safety, equity, and diversity.
What we are looking for (qualifications, registrations, experience)
- You must hold, or successfully obtain within 12 months of appointment, a Level 3 or higher Queensland Government Procurement certification.
- Sound understanding of procurement service delivery and experience in applying procurement related policies, procedures or frameworks, preferably in a complex public sector or not-for-profit organisation.
- Professional communication and collaboration skills.
- You must have the legal right to live and work in Australia.
