We're looking for an AO6 Senior Human Resources Consultant to join the team on a temporary basis with the possibility of extension. You’ll join the Workplace Relations team at 1 William Street, Brisbane (flexible location where NRMMRRD office exists), where you’ll handle complex employee and industrial relations matters that impact the department. As Senior Human Resources Consultant, you'll manage complex workplace relations and integrity matters across the department. Your work will include supporting  leaders with case management, advising on industrial relations, and assisting with investigations under the integrity framework. You'll provide clear, strategic guidance on issues from employee conduct and grievances to ethics and corruption, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy.

You'll also build organisational capability by delivering training in complaint management, conflict resolution, public interest disclosures and related areas. This includes preparing briefings, supporting union consultation processes, and equipping staff with the tools to make confident, compliant decisions.

You'll monitor risks and trends, prepare high-level submissions and briefing notes,  and contribute to evaluating HR service effectiveness to support long-term improvements. 
 
This position calls for technical expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure. A collaborative, solution focused approach will be key as you work with managers, supervisors, colleagues and stakeholders to deliver fair, consistent outcomes.
