The Australian Teletrial Program has an exciting opportunity to backfill maternity leave for the Senior Program Manager. A dynamic role working with six jurisdictional partners to embed Teletrials into regional, rural and remote Australia for access to new treatments and therapies closer to home. You will work as part of the ATP National Office with four direct reports, working alongside the Director and Communications Manager to deliver the operational components of managing the MRFF grant.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will manage a small team to meet the agreed deliverables for a significant Commonwealth research infrastructure program across multiple jurisdictions delivering clinical trials to rural, regional, and remote patients. You will ensure the program is delivered under the terms of the head agreement with the Commonwealth and all sub-contract agreements with project partners, including strong governance, budget management and reporting within a risk management framework. Additionally, you will identify and develop strategic opportunities and networks to build the program over the duration of the grant, including through significant stakeholder engagement.

Role fit:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully apply a project management approach to a significant health system research project involving numerous partners and activity components.
  • Demonstrated expertise to manage significant research projects to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge and experience of operations of clinical trials in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management.
