About the High Complexity Cognitive Care Service
Is an interprofessional team comprising physicians, psychiatrists, allied health and nursing led by the medical consultant under the joint governance of the Departments of General Medicine and Mental Health and Specialist Services.
About Your New Role
This newly established position offers a unique opportunity to shape a pioneering service supporting adults with disabilities in a hospital setting. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver expert psychological care, while also educating staff to enhance disability-inclusive practices. The role includes leading quality improvement initiatives and contributing to service development. Well-supported and professionally rewarding, this position allows you to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. This includes:
- Applying specialised knowledge of cognitive, developmental, neurological, psychiatric and sensory disabilities
- Applying independent clinical judgement to complex decision making with limited supervision
- Consulting, developing and implementing psychology or neuropsychology clinical practices, procedures and protocols
- Providing support to service planning and implementation of evidence-based reviews and service evaluation activities
Qualifications and Experience
- A tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
- Postgraduate qualification is mandatory for the Neuropsychologist role
- AHPRA Registration
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (38 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour
