The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Procurement Officer to join the Procurement and Contract Services Unit. The Procurement and Contract Services Unit is responsible for leading, developing and managing the procurement activities of the QCAA. The unit is responsible for providing advice to senior management and internal clients regarding due process, probity, and value for money.

What you will do
In the Procurement Officer role, you will:
- Undertake procurement and contract management, in accordance with legislation and agency policies and procedures ensuring that risk, probity and transparency requirements are addressed.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to provide procurement advice and support under the application of the Queensland Government and QCAA Procurement Policies, associated procedures, and best practice governance.
- Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of government initiatives, Standing Offer Arrangements and contracting requirements and frameworks.
- Undertake research on relevant supplier markets, capabilities, and technology.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative, and productive working relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders with the view of maintaining knowledge and raising awareness and compliance with the Queensland Government and QCAA procurement policies and associated procedures and to ensure procurement and contract management services are responsive to current and future needs.
- Contribute to the development of reports and briefing notes to support procurement initiatives including preparation of high quality briefing material and correspondence.
- Undertake related projects and other duties of equivalent complexity to support the Manager as required.
Reporting relationships
This role reports to the Manager, Procurement and Contract Services. No roles report directly to this role.
