Queensland Corrective Services Academy (QCSA) offers education, training, and professional development opportunities for corrective services personnel across the state. QCSA functions as the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for Queensland Corrective Services (RTO Registration #5292).
The Administrative Officer is responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to the QCSA, facilitating the smooth daily operations of the Academy. This role is part of the broader administration support team dedicated to QCSA.

In this role you will:
- Answer telephone enquiries, take messages and transfer calls including completion of reception duties as the first point of contact for Academy visitors and guests
- Managing the ordering of office supplies such as stationery, equipment and furniture
- Taking and ensuring messages are passed to the appropriate staff member on a timely basis
- Lodging of facilities maintenance and repairs with external bodies (QBuild) and the management of tracking registers
- Maintain filing and record keeping systems
- Travel booking and other general secretarial duties including the creation of letters and other correspondence
- Undertake data collection for training records and ensure data collection methods are put in place to support this activity
- This role also provides assistance with QCSA intranet maintenance and will require the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of intranet editing systems
- Assist with data entry and record keeping processes associated with our Student/Learning Management systems
- Provide administrative functions and quality, confidential administrative support for the office as required
- Manage mail and mail register
- Conduct banking and other finance related tasks as required that include processing invoices, producing reports and generation of other financial documents
- Undertake a wide range of administrative tasks including a significant amount of document creation and editing using the full Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe applications.
