As Principal Advisor (Program) you will support the development of the Transport System Planning Program (TSPP), a key component of Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).
Some of your responsibilities will include:
•Plan and lead aspects of the annual development of the forward planning program (TSPP Formulation) in collaboration with TMR Delivery Areas and other TMR Investment Programs, including budget scenario testing, coordinating program development timeframes, candidate project collation, data management and approvals.
•Support the governance of the TSPP, leading program maturity improvements, including the review and update of program governance documentation, such as the TSPP Program Plan and Blueprint and the TSPP Formulation Prioritisation Guidelines.
•Identify strategic needs and priorities for development of transport networks to support prioritisation and guide investment decision-making.
•Provide strategic advice, options and recommendations to the Planning Manager and senior officers on program funding issues, program risks and initiating corrective action as required.
•Lead stakeholder engagement and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders across the department, taking a customer-focused approach.
•Prepare and coordinate documentation, communications and briefing material regarding TSPP, including critical analysis of complex program and project issues and developing recommendations, reports, meeting papers, presentations and, briefs.
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
•Experience working on the successful delivery of large or complex programs, including critical analysis of complex issues, developing guidelines, and managing competing deadlines and diverse stakeholders.
•Ability to build and maintain good relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
•Strong time management and organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities, persistence in working through obstacles, and deliver high quality outputs.
•Previous experience in interpreting and analysing large data sets and preparing accurate, high-quality spreadsheets, problem-solving and presenting well considered solutions.
•Experience in leading business improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency of program governance and processes.
•Portfolio, Program and Project Offices (P3O®), Managing Successful Programs (MSP®) experience is desirable.
