The purpose of the Road Safety Officer is to coordinate and support the delivery of the School Crossing Supervisor scheme and road safety programs. You will provide effective HR management, operational oversight, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve safe and efficient outcomes for school communities.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Facilitate the management of the School Crossing Supervisor scheme operations across geographically diverse locations, administering related human resource processes including recruitment and selection, onboarding, payroll functions and staff performance.
• Support the implementation of road safety programs within the Road Safety unit and work effectively as a team member and contribute to team objectives.
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues and representatives of other government agencies and community groups to deliver agreed road safety outcomes and comply with departmental customer service quality and performance standards.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• The successful applicant must hold and maintain a current C or CA class driver license.
• The successful applicant must hold and maintain a Working with children check (Blue Card) upon commencement of employment and at all times while employed by TMR.
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role
