Are you a natural leader with professional administration skills looking to expand your wings? Our Rockhampton Corporate and Support Services are offering a 4 month contract as the Senior Administration Support Officer.

As the Senior Administration Support Officer, you will provide leadership to the Medical Directors Secretaries to develop and maintain high secretarial standards and ensure consistent work processes are implemented across all Clinical Director offices.

About us:

Rockhampton Hospital offers a wide range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient, allied and community services. It is the largest hospital in Central Queensland and the main referral hub for the region. Capricorn Coast Hospital provides health services to residents of the Capricorn Coast. Mt Morgan is a Multi-Purpose Health Service. Both facilities are located within 40 kilometres of Rockhampton.

About the role:

The Senior Administration Support Officer reports to the Director of Corporate and Support Services, providing high level professional and confidential support to the Director Medical Services, Rockhampton, ensuring efficient and effective administrative support is provided to members of the Rockhampton Hospital Leadership Team.

About you:

While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.

  • Advanced competency in using Microsoft Office applications, proprietary software and internet applications.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and written communication skills, the ability to liaise effectively at all levels of the organisation and with other government and non-government agencies, community organisations and members of the public with discretion and tact.
  • Proven ability to work within a team in a diverse and complex environment to achieve objectives within specified timeframes and in accordance with defined practices and procedures.
  • Proven ability to utilise a high degree of initiative, decision making skills and negotiation skills and reliability in operating independently with minimal guidance and direction.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $9,515 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $45.81 - $50.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
