About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to assist Faculty, Simulation Educators and external parties with the development, design, delivery and evaluation of simulation-based education events offered through the Clinical Skills Development Service based at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Herston or at other locations as required. The Clinical Skills Development Service (CSDS), located at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in Herston, Queensland strives to be a leader in healthcare innovation, research, and simulation.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • The role has a clinical education focus and provides professional-level clinical services commensurate with level of clinical experience, mostly of a routine nature and with the level of supervision decreasing with increasing experience.
  • Develop, foster, and promote collaborative partnerships with simulation providers within Queensland Health and other groups or facilities as required
  • Assists in the development of policies, procedures and clinical practice and participates in local quality and service improvement activities. This includes the assistance in the development, design and evaluation of simulation based events.
  • Manage own professional standards/accreditation/registration requirements, aligned with a current performance development plan.
