About the work unit / facility
Surgical Ward 3 – Townsville University Hospital
Surgical Ward 3 is a 28-bed inpatient unit providing care to Neurosurgical, Maxillofacial, ENT and Plastics patients. The unit is supported by 11 specialty consultants, allied health, and a strong education-focused nursing team.

- Salary range: $4138.10 to $4431.10 p.f. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide advanced nursing care, leadership, and education within a high-acuity surgical environment. You will support best practice and quality patient outcomes through critical thinking and collaboration with the NUM and CNC.
Requirements
- Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
- Highly desirable: Postgraduate qualifications and experience in tracheostomy care.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including criminal history checks.
