Your new role:
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to provide advanced clinical leadership and expert nursing care within the Crisis Support Space at PAH, supporting mental health service integration and high-quality patient outcomes.
- Deliver advanced clinical nursing expertise and consultancy in mental health, including triage functions to ensure timely and appropriate clinical referrals.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams, including collaboration with Emergency Department Mental Health, inpatient units, and community teams to facilitate patient navigation and integrated care.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, clinical redesign, and workforce development aligned with organisational goals and evidence-based practice.
- Provide education, supervision, and mentoring to nursing staff and contribute to research and innovation within the specialty.
About you:
You are a highly skilled mental health nurse with advanced clinical expertise, passionate about leading service improvements and delivering compassionate, patient-centred care in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience in mental health nursing, with demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
- Strong ability to manage clinical risk, provide expert nursing consultation, and lead change initiatives within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and deliver education and mentoring.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and contributing to research and quality improvement activities.
