The Digital and Virtual Learning Team supports digital Innovation in teaching and learning as part of the Queensland Department of Education's Equity and Excellence in action strategy.

The team supports the department's plan to embed future focused learning practices that safely connect students and teachers across Queensland.

Why this Role?

As the Senior Project Officer, Reports your role will include:

  • Managing the development, implementation and monitoring of project plans with Digital and Virtual Learning team
  • Progressing project activities, including briefing materials, correspondence, reports, presentations and publications, and provide project progress status updates to management and senior executives
  • Assisting in coordinating, organising and promoting the professional development activities identified for the program
  • Overseeing end-to-end video production at a professional level, including project planning, script review, scheduling, filming, and post-production phases
  • Ensuring the development of materials for Digital and Virtual learning are of high quality and compliant with the required visual and digital style guidelines
  • Managing and supporting targeted research to inform project design and implementation
  • Providing secretariat support for project governance groups to ensure effective implementation of project objectives within the established timeframes and allocated budget
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the development, implementation and delivery of a range of projects and initiatives

About You:

The ideal applicant will have the following key attributes:

  • Understanding of project development, monitoring and reporting
  • Proven ability to manage aspects of projects and achieve required outcomes within set timeframes
  • Well-developed organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Strong skills in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prior experience in supporting training programs and/ or event management
  • Effective communication skills
  • Attention to detail
