Smartship Australia is a purpose-built, world-class maritime simulation and training facility with a core focus on pilotage professional training and development, advanced ship handling and port development. Smartship Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and its customers come from all over Australasia. You will work within a small team to deliver exceptional services for our customers. 

Some of your responsibilities:
• Providing support to our customer-facing services including operation of the frontdesk, provision of general customer assistance, support to courses (eg collating study material and classroom set up), and the compilation of customer reports.
• Assisting in meeting Smartship Australia's accounting and procurement requirements including undertaking corporate card reconciliations, goods receipting and expense payment processing.
• Managing the operation of Smartship Australia's kitchen and catering requirements, including liaison and co-ordination with the caterer for the provision of lunches for Smartship's customers.
• Maintaining Smartship Australia's Student Management System including maintenance of student records within the system and the issuing of certificates on completion of training. 

Requirements of the role:
• Experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on meeting customerneeds.
• Strong organisation skills, to ensure timelines are met for catering, course delivery and to meet customer expectations. 
• Excellent verbal communication skills. Customer-focused small teams thrive on quality communication. 
• Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Outlook (booking management) and Word (report preparation) noting that the successful applicant will be expected to develop skills in Smartship Australia's Student Management System “aXcelerate”, TMR's “ExpenseMe” expense management system and TMR's SAP environment. The successful applicant will be assisted in learning these systems.
