Your opportunity
As the Head of Department HPE and Sporting Academies you will:
- Lead curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and moderation practices across the faculty
- Collect, analyse and interpret data to improve student achievement and engagement
- Support teachers to achieve high standards and to develop their capacity through professional learning, coaching and feedback
- Form collaborative partnerships with relevant industry and external organisations
- Support, model and coach teachers in classroom management techniques to enhance student engagement
- Form strong learning partnerships with students, parents and external stakeholders in case management processes
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to curriculum activity risk assessments, workplace health and safety and students and staff within the HPE and Sports department
- Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals
