Senior Advisor Social and Digital Media

We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor Social and Digital Media to join the Communication and Education team at the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). This pivotal role will grow the RTA's social media channels and communities, leading the creation and delivery of digital content that educates Queenslanders on their tenancy rights and responsibilities and RTA services.
You will also work in collaboration with project, communication, digital and education teams across the RTA to deliver cohesive, timely and engaging content - written and multimedia - for a range of digital channels and audiences. This is a fixed-term, full-time position until June 2027. The RTA's office is located in the Brisbane CBD with generous flexible and remote work options available to the successful candidate.

Communication and Education is a multidisciplinary team incorporating media, communication, content, digital, design, education and engagement.
We are seeking an experienced, creative and strategically minded individual to continue to grow the RTA's social media footprint, manage existing communities and leverage new channels to engage with the Queensland rental sector.
You will work in a fast-paced but highly supportive environment managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts, working together to find effective and creative solutions.

To be successful you will need:
- Proven experience in establishing social media channels, social media strategy, social media advertising, designing and publishing creative assets, reporting and evaluation
- Expertise in leveraging new technologies to deliver impactful digital campaigns
- Strong understanding of social media channels with an ability to innovate and build on best-practice
- Experience in customer service and social community management including de-escalation of high-risk customer enquiries and interactions to protect brand and reputation
- Experience in developing and implementing social media governance including policies, procedures and guidelines
- Ability to create engaging, multi-format digital content that resonates with diverse audiences and meets the RTA's brand, written and visual style guides
- Technical capability in back-end social media platforms for campaign management, reporting and evaluation
- Exceptional communication skills, delivering clear, concise and compelling messages in plain language
- Proactive approach to identifying and testing new channels and tactics to grow audiences
- Ability to build strong relationships with other teams and subject matter experts to deliver accurate and engaging content.
