The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurse (Orthopaedics) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver a high standard of care to highly acute, clinically and socially complex patients
- Participate in and deliver local quality improvement projects
- Coordinate complex patient care and patient flow
- Demonstrate expert ability to coordinate staff and resources to support a safe environment
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (two positions, 56 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $54.45 - $58.30 per hour

Orthopaedic Inpatient Unit - C6West – delivers excellence in nursing for orthopaedic patients requiring scheduled and unscheduled care. The team works collaboratively with other units within the Hospital and Health Service including; the Emergency Department, Operating Theatres, Trauma Service, Allied Health and other surgical inpatient units. There is a strong focus on a multidisciplinary team approach to delivering the highest of standards in evidence based, patient centered care.
