Become a part of an exciting opportunity as Nurse Educator with Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services. You will be required to provide education & training and support to the nursing staff working in the Cairns Integrated Palliative Service, including rural and remote sites across CHHHS. The position will also work collaboratively with the Nurse Leaders and other Educators in the delivery of staff development, education and training events within the health service.

About your role:

  • Supports the professional development of nursing staff within the emergency unit and at CHHHS including Clinical Facilitators, nursing staff, graduate nurses, undergraduate students and AINs.
  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders for the development and implementation of assessment, planning, review and evaluation of educational programs for nursing staff, students and AINs.
  • Fosters a positive culture of continuous quality improvement, including exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviours and promote cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
