Your new role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care as part of the Logan Older Adults Mental Health Service (OAMHS). This is a senior clinical position that also supports service development and the supervision of junior staff.
- Provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments, interventions, and evaluations within a multidisciplinary team, focused on older adult mental health.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, clinical education, and development of evidence-based practices, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor less experienced clinicians, students, and Allied Health Assistants.
- Engage in interprofessional collaboration and consumer-centred care to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective services.
About you:
You are a dynamic clinician with a strong foundation in mental health and a passion for working with older adults. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to continuous learning, leadership, and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering Occupational Therapy services in a mental health setting, with a focus on older adults.
- High-level communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage complex cases independently.
- Experience in supervising junior staff and contributing to quality improvement or research activities.
