About your role
As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Redland Residential Care. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care across four specialised units encompassing 126 beds.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading clinical and corporate governance, workforce planning, and fiscal management
- Managing service delivery and performance against state and national benchmarks
- Ensuring compliance with Aged Care Act 1997, NDIS requirements, and Medicines & Poisons Act
- Driving continuous quality improvement, clinical innovation, and change management
- Providing expert advice on models of care and operational requirements
- Building and mentoring a capable, motivated nursing workforce (approx. 150+ FTE)
About you
You are a transformational nursing leader with proven experience in residential aged care or similar complex care environments.
You bring:
- Extensive knowledge of aged care legislation, NDIS safeguards, and clinical governance
- Expertise in operational management, financial accountability, and workforce leadership
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, redesign services, and improve care outcomes
- High-level interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, research, and continuous improvement
- Possession of a relevant post graduate qualification (highly desirable)
- A commitment to participating in an on-call roster
