About the Role

We are seeking an inspiring and strategic leader to join our team as Head of Department - Humanities. In this role, you will lead the Humanities department to deliver quality learning outcomes, foster positive relationships, and drive innovation in teaching and learning. Reporting to the Principal, you will play a key role in shaping the department's vision and ensuring alignment with school and departmental priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead curriculum development in line with school and departmental initiatives.
  • Foster a shared educational vision focused on quality outcomes for all students.
  • Promote socially just practices and nurture positive relationships with students, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance while supporting professional growth.
  • Manage resources effectively to achieve departmental and school goals.
  • Build partnerships with parents, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Stay informed on legislation and policies impacting students and staff.
