Training Officer

• Grant funding for sport and active recreation organisations and clubs, infrastructure and participation programs;
• The operation of precincts and venues;
• And through engaging and partnering with the active industry across Queensland; and
• Through this investment we want to improve the health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders by assisting them to be more active.
This Training Officer position is a service delivery role that provides coordinated and structured advice, support and services to the Precincts and Venues, with relation to training and quality assurance. As a specialist training professional, you will be required to develop and deliver training, assess and endorse competence in sport and outdoor recreation service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
• Implementing and managing sport and recreation programs, including learning and development frameworks.
• Coordinating internal and external training, ensuring efficiency across multiple precincts.
• Delivering high-quality accredited and non-accredited training in line with the Australian Quality Training Framework.
• Developing and maintaining compliant training materials and participating in validation/moderation sessions.
• Managing training schedules, enrolments, costs, and equipment.
• Maintaining accurate records of staff qualifications and training details.
• Conducting training needs analysis and developing strategies to address staff requirements.
• Managing agreements with third-party training providers.
• Ensuring qualifications and industry knowledge remain current.
• Promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace culture.
