How you'll contribute
As an Assistant Policy Officer, you will play a vital part in contributing to the creation of innovative and strategic policy solutions that will assist in delivering Queensland Government priorities.
In this diverse and intellectually stimulating role, you'll make your mark by:
• Preparing timely and well researched submissions and briefs on complex issues including Cabinet submissions and legislative reform
• Building collaborative and productive working relationships at all levels with government agencies and the private sector on significant issues
• Identifying, developing and analysing policy options on economic policy issues.
What you'll bring to the role
You'll draw on your knowledge of public policy, experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and ability to communicate at all levels to manage complex issues and provide strategic advice to support the development of longer-term policy directions for government consideration.
