As the AO6 Senior Policy Officer within Regional Development South, you'll work on some of Queensland's most important regional and rural development initiatives. Based in Toowoomba or Brisbane, this role supports high-level projects across regional development, legislation and governance.
You'll conduct research and provide high-level analysis on emerging issues. You'll contribute to legislative development; help manage relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of government and represent the department at interagency forums. You'll prepare high-quality reports, ministerial briefs, and written materials to inform regional outcomes — and you'll balance competing priorities with integrity and clarity.
This is a fast-paced environment, so you'll need excellent time management, strong writing skills, and the ability to think strategically while delivering under pressure. Most importantly, you're passionate about shaping better futures for regional and rural Queenslanders.
