We’re seeking an Accommodation Officer to manage a diverse portfolio of approximately 46 properties across the Wide Bay Burnett District. These includes single-residency dwellings, barracks, multi-tenancy, and short-term accommodation.
These properties house operational police personnel within 21 Police Divisions across a vast geographic area—from Imbil in the south to Monto, Gin Gin, and South Kolan in the north; west to Eidsvold and Mundubbera; and east to Bargara, Fraser Island, and Rainbow Beach.

This position involves regular travel throughout the District to manage and maintain accommodation needs effectively. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact by ensuring our officers have safe, reliable, and well-managed accommodation.
Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Support the delivery of facility and accommodation management services, including identification and reporting of maintenance issues.
- Assist with the management, monitoring, and reporting of minor works projects to ensure quality outcomes are achieved.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on housing and accommodation matters, ensuring consistent communication, timely responses, and effective service delivery.
- Contribute to forward maintenance, accommodation and housing tenancy management and planning, including emerging issues and future needs.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and financial transactions in SAP, including the preparation and processing of payments, accounts payable invoices, journals, financial settlements, and other finance related activities.
- Assist in the preparation of submissions, reports, briefings, and correspondence relating to housing and accommodation matters, including updating records and registers to ensure property data is maintained.
- Liaise with private sector and government department authorities on property, facilities and housing management matters.
- Identify opportunities for improving accommodation and housing management processes, systems and services to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
